The Bucyrus City School District is inviting public participation in determining the allocation of Federal IDEA-B Special Education grant dollars. Under the General Education Provisions Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) 2004, the Bucyrus City School District is required to accept public comment. The grant for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2017 includes the required assurances and certifications for the Bucyrus City Schools to be eligible to receive the FFY 2017 Part B funds.

The grant includes assurances and provisions as mandated by Part B of IDEA in order to provide the appropriate services to students with disabilities who are enrolled in the Bucyrus City Schools, including non-public schools in which eligible students living in the boundaries of the Bucyrus City Schools district are enrolled.

Public comment is welcome at the May 26, 2016 Bucyrus City Schools Board of Education meeting. The meeting with take place at 7:00 PM at the Bucyrus City School District Board Office, 170 Plymouth St Bucyrus, Ohio 44820.
