Small town America is exactly where Preferred Wireless wants to be, which is why the Delaware-based company opened a Sprint store in Bucyrus.
The new Sprint Preferred Retailer held a grand opening Friday morning and embraced its new small town community, offering slices of Bakers pizza and various prizes in a store decked out in yellow and black.
“We like to provide the service in the medium-sized towns,” explained Preferred Wireless marketing and advertising director Joanie Regula.
The company will be handing the local reins over to Jake Dehaan, who has been a part of the Preferred Wireless family for four years.
“It’s very demanding because we get all ranges of people,” Dehaan explained. “You have to be friends with everyone. That’s what I’m good at: making friends with people and getting them to keep coming back to see me.”
Dehaan said they are able to offer an affordable solution to everybody that comes in to the store.
“We offer a wide range of plans and devices to fit anybody’s needs,” he added.
The store will also offer various services, such as phone repair and protection, Sprint Music Plus, and Sprint TV.
Preferred Wireless, located at 522 N. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus, is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon until 6 p.m. on Sunday. The phone number is 419-689-1966.
