The Galion Tigers are moving on in the Division III baseball tournament following a 5-2 win over Edison Wednesday.

The Tigers’ Matt Hardy picked up the win, allowing six hits over the first six-and-one-third innings with six strikeouts. Garrett Kuns got the save, retiring the only four batters he faced with one strikeout.

After giving up an unearned run in the second, the Tigers got four unearned runs in the third. Hardy and Ryan Talbot each singled in the inning with Tyler Castline drawing a walk. The Chargers committed two errors extending Galion’s big inning. The Tigers’ record improves to 13-9.

Galion will play for the district championship at 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Madison Comprehensive School.
