The Colonel Crawford Lady Eagles are still undefeated in N10 play following a 6-2 win over Buckeye Central last night. Colonel Crawford improved to 10-0 in the league and 15-1 overall.
Buckeye Central scored first as Sidney Long led off the game with a walk, stole second, and came home on a base hit by Miranda Wurm. The Lady Eagles came right back in the bottom of the first as Alexis Burkhart reached on an error and came home on a double by Jada Klingenberger. Klingenberger scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error. Colonel Crawford added a run in the second and three in the fifth, highlighted by a solo home run by Lydia Strause. Buckeye Central’s second run was scored in the sixth.
The Lady Eagles’ Sydney Studer picked up the win striking out eight. Buckeye Central’s Miranda Wurm took the loss. The Buckettes are now 6-4 in the league and 7-8 overall.
