TIFFIN (Crawford County Now) — Seneca East’s Aubrey Ritzler took third in the Division IV Region 13 cross country at Hedges Boyer Park Saturday afternoon.

The sophomore clocked in at 18:51.4. Mohawk’s Laila Nally finished 6th in 19:04.6, a personal best, and will represent the Warriors at state.

Crestline girls finished fifth as a team and, for the first time in school history, qualified for the state meet at Fort Obetz next Saturday morning.

Senior Nevaeh Hill was 18th with a PB time of 19:46.8. Addison Hill (20:32.1) was 36th, with Jocelyn Noblit 46th with a PB of 20:52.2.

Other team members are Addysen Giesege, Lillian Mills, Faith Songer and Anna Erwin.

The Bulldogs teams recorded a total of 5 personal bests.

Colonel Crawford freshman Avary Stirm was 44th in 20:42.0.

Seneca East claimed 10th place and Colonel Crawford was 16th.

On the boys side, Isaac Stirm finished eighth and will run at the state meet. The Colonel Crawford junior recorded a PB time of 16:18.5.

The Eagles were 21st.

As a team the Tiger boys finished sixth.

Owen Wise was Seneca East’s top runner at 36th in 17:03.4. Qualifiers include Wise, Remington Newell, Francisco Lantz, Easton Voorhees, Jaxon Carter, Thomas Schiefer and Aiden Falter.

Mohawk’s Kolton Wood qualified after a 10th-place finish in 16:23.6.

Crestline’s Colten Keller hit a PB time of 16:52.8, for 25th place and qualified.

Tinora edged Convoy Crestview for the team trophy.

Division III

Galion girls placed 8th. Makayla Halbisen was 25th in 20:17.6 and teammate Katelyn Carr placed 33rd in 20:37.0, a PB for the sophomore.

Upper Sandusky’s Jocelyn Leightey took ninth in a PB time of 19:30.8.

Huron easily won the girls team championship. Bryan claimed the boys crown.

Upper Sandusky’s boys finished fourth to advance. The Rams were led by junior Carter Pohlman, who took 8th in 16:19.9.
