BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—After 11 years in business, Old 30 BBQ continues to grow and evolve while looking ahead to several upcoming events, promotions, and more.

Lately, Old Thirty BBQ has been focusing on adding some new menu items as well as specials to continue to get people excited about barbecue. Austin Smith, co-owner of Old 30 BBQ, says the restaurant has had a pretty similar menu over the past 11 years with occasional changes every now and then.

“We did some specials this past year, like brisket grilled cheese sandwiches and bourbon chicken that we smoked. Just a variety of stuff like that we’re trying to bring into the barbecue while also just kind of keeping the consistency of our other core items,” says Smith.

Beyond its menu specials, Old 30 BBQ has several events and promotions planned for customers in the coming months. One of those events is The Rockhouse Halloween Party.

The Rockhouse Halloween Party is on October 24 at The Venue at Old 30 BBQ. The band Rockhouse will be performing, and there will be special seasonal drinks, a costume party, and more for attendees to enjoy.

The restaurant also hosts trivia every Wednesday, and through the month of October, there will be a number of theme nights for customers to enjoy.

Following the Halloween festivities and as the holiday season gets underway, Old 30 BBQ will offer a gift card promotion running through Christmas, giving customers a free jar of BBQ sauce for every $50 worth of gift cards purchased.

“It’s just a nice little stocking stuffer, it’s a nice gift to bring to your holiday party,” says Smith.

Old 30 BBQ also brings its food beyond the restaurant through its off-site catering services for a variety of events such as weddings and large company parties, which they focus on and specialize in.

The restaurant also hosts larger events, including holiday parties and weddings, at The Venue at Old 30, located across the street.

Whether at the restaurant, an upcoming event, or an off-site gathering, Old 30 BBQ has several ways planned to continue serving customers in the months ahead.

Smith says he wants those who have not visited Old 30 BBQ to know that it is more than your typical barbecue restaurant and that they use a lot of smoked meats to create a variety of family-friendly menu items.

“While we’re known for our slow-smoked meats, we’ve taken a different approach to what barbecue can be,” says Smith. “Our smoked meats find their way into dishes the whole family can enjoy, from loaded BBQ tots and nachos to loaded mac & cheese, flatbreads, potatoes and more,” said Smith.
