SHELBY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A 28-year-old Richland County man has been sentenced to prison for making extremely violent and graphic threats that terrorized three women on social media platforms, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio.
Logan Stanford, 28, of Shelby, Ohio, was sentenced to 78 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Donald C. Nugent. The sentence follows Stanford’s guilty plea in June to three counts of cyberstalking and three counts of making threatening interstate communications.
In addition to his six-and-a-half-year prison term, Stanford was ordered to serve three years of supervised release. As a condition of his release, he is prohibited from using the internet.
According to the indictment, Stanford engaged in a three-year campaign of harassment, stalking and intimidation targeting three women, some of whom had never met him in person. Stanford frequently used fictitious names to contact the victims across multiple social media platforms. Despite the women blocking his accounts, he persistently created new profiles to continue his behavior, which included explicit threats to kill the victims.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Mansfield Resident Agency. First Assistant U.S. Attorney Michelle M. Baeppler prosecuted the case for the Northern District of Ohio.
