BUCYRUS (Crawford County Now) — Ridgedale’s Elliot Weston took first in the boys 5000 meters, hitting the tape in 16:08.80 at the Bucyrus Elks Invitational Saturday morning at Bucyrus High School.
Anderson Griffin of Bucyrus came in ninth in 17:27.90.
Upper Sandusky won the boys division, with Buckeye Central fourth and Bucyrus fifth.
Wynford’s Bristol Westrick was sixth in the girls 3200 meters.
Buckeye Central’s Samantha Auck got 19th running a time of 22:57.90. Teammate Jeremiah Roberson finished 11th in 18:29.60 in the boys division.

Carey, Seneca East prevail
TIFFIN — Carey girls won the MAL Reunion at Hedges Boyer Park with Seneca East second.
Lady Tigers sophomore Aubrey Ritzler won the girls 5000-meter run in 19:08.14. Mohawk’s Laila Nally, a freshman, placed second in 20:40.46.
Seneca East senior Julia Enders captured fifth, clocking 22:16.41.
The Tigers took first in the boys division, easily outdistancing Old Fort, 36-68.
Mohawk junior Kolton Wood got first place with a 17:20.35 time. Seneca East’s Remington Newell came in third in 17:40.
