Three generations will be coming together to discuss the local food supply and safety issues associated with it at this year’s Rural-Urban Day.
Duane, Pat, and Phil Hord will present Feeding Families with Food Safety on March 15 at Hord Visitor Center, 887 Ohio 98, Bucyrus. Seating begins promptly at 11:30 a.m. with food service and program to follow.
The Hord family has operated a livestock and grain farm for over 100 years. The farm incorporates approved animal welfare procedures while maintaining sustainable land management practices. The three generations of the Hord family will address food safety concerns and help answer consumer concerns.
