BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A Galion man is being held on a $750,000 bond following his arraignment Thursday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on multiple felony charges involving an alleged minor victim.
Kiel John Getter, 41, of Galion, was indicted by the Crawford County Grand Jury on five felony counts and one misdemeanor charge. The charges include one third-degree felony count of sexual battery, two third-degree felony counts of tampering with evidence, one fifth-degree felony count of obstruction of justice, and one second-degree misdemeanor count of grooming.
According to court documents, the alleged offenses involve a minor.
During Thursday’s hearing, the court ordered Getter to have no contact with the alleged victim or any juveniles if he is released on bond.
Getter has retained attorney Joel Spitzer as his legal counsel. He remains in custody at this time.
A pretrial hearing is expected to be scheduled in the coming weeks.
