MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)-A massive drug operation led by the METRICH Enforcement Unit resulted in the seizure of approximately 91 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, along with the arrest of one individual, during a search warrant operation on Monday in Mansfield.
According to a news release from METRICH, detectives collaborated with the Mansfield Police Department to carry out the search warrant at 631 West Fourth Street in Richland County. The warrant, authorized by Mansfield Municipal Court Judge Michael Kemerer, allowed investigators to search both a residence and two vehicles linked to the investigation.

During the execution of the warrant, authorities not only recovered a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine but also discovered other illegal drugs, $975 in cash, and additional evidence related to drug activity.
Emmanuel Washington was arrested during the operation and is currently facing serious charges, including three counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine (each a first-degree felony) and one count of Possession of Methamphetamine (also a first-degree felony). Authorities indicated that further drug-related charges would be submitted to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
METRICH officials reiterated their commitment to combating drug trafficking in the community. “The METRICH Enforcement Unit will continue to aggressively pursue those responsible for drug trafficking and distribution,” the release stated, while encouraging the public to stay vigilant and report any suspected drug activities.
