GALION (Crawford County Now) — Colonel Crawford boys (24 points) took top honors in the Crawford County Cross Country meet held at Amman Reservoir Saturday morning.
Bucyrus (41) ran second, Galion third, Buckeye Central fourth and Wynford fifth.
Karter Boggs finished first as the Redmen senior hit the tape in 16:05.22.
Colonel Crawford’s tandem of Shawn Auck (17:15.63) and Isaac Stirm (17:25.87) finished second and third.
The Eagles Braeden Grau came in fourth in 17:51.38 and Bucyrus’ Anderson (AJ) Griffin fifth in 17:58.66.
In the girls division, Makayla Halbisen took first in 21:09.90 to lead the Lady Tigers (24 points) to the team title, with Buckeye Central (57) in second.
Crestline junior Nevaeh Hill took second in 21:17.56, with Galion’s Alayna Griffith third in 21:29.54.
Galion freshman Katelyn Carr placed fourth in 21:35.25, with Buckeye Central’s Angela Figueroa fifth in 21:38.76.
Colonel Crawford came in third and Bucyrus fourth in team standings.
Tiger runners win pair of invitationals
FREMONT — Seneca East’s boys won the title at the Fremont St. Joseph Invitational at Walsh Park Saturday. Mohawk took third.
Nevin Holmes took first for Seneca East in 16:51.78.
Others top placers were Phoenix Nally of Mohawk third at 17:33.22, Kolton Wood fourth in 17:53.84.
Ayden Perkins of SE finished fifth in 18:07.78, while teammate Francisco Lantz was sixth in 18:10.88.
The Tiger girls won the Van Buren Invitational. No other results were available.
