The Buckeye Central boys took advantage of the foul line and turnovers Thursday night to take care of business at Seneca East and opened N-10 play with a 60-51 win.
The Bucks outscored the Tigers at the foul line 23 -12 and in points off turnovers, 16-8, to run their record to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the N-10. Seneca East is 0-1 and 0-1.
In spite of being in foul trouble, Grant Loy led the Bucks with 21 points and nine rebounds. Scott Heydinger and Jacob Shade were also in double figures with 12 and 11 points respectively.
The Tigers were led by Johnny Diem’s 12 points. Brady Ferres added 10.
Both teams will be in action on Saturday night in non-league contests, Buckeye Central at home against New Riegel and Seneca East on the road at Hopewell-Loudon.
