BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Avita Health System has announced plans to construct a new 15,000-square-foot medical clinic at 307 Hill Street in Bucyrus, with an anticipated opening in late summer 2026. The state-of-the-art facility will consolidate several services into a single location near the existing hospital.
According to Jerome Morasko, President/CEO of Avita Health System, the project is the culmination of years of planning. “Avita has been preparing to combine our orthopedic office and therapy center in one convenient location, close to the hospital, by purchasing property around the hospital for some years now,” Morasko stated. “We are excited to start construction this month and bring this vision to reality.”
The new clinic is designed to provide advanced orthopedic, occupational health, and therapy services for all ages. It will house two new orthopedic physicians, Dr. John Diehl (orthopedic sports medicine) and Dr. Robert Ogg (orthopedic surgery). The facility will also feature advanced rehabilitation technology, including a new on-site x-ray machine, a SwimEx SX TRC aquatic therapy pool, and a Solo Step System to assist with gait training.
Kim Winkle, VP of Operations for Avita, highlighted the breadth of services. “Avita’s occupational medicine clinic, Avita Workwell, will relocate to this facility and continue to serve over 2,000 employers,” Winkle said. “In addition, adult speech therapy will evaluate and treat speech, communication, voice, swallowing, and cognition disorders.”
Adena Corporation of Mansfield has been selected as the design builder for the project, with NAC Architecture of Columbus serving as the architect.
