BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)–North Central State College (NC State) will launch a new phlebotomy course on August 25th at its Crawford Success Center. The program, created with startup funding from a generous local donor, aims to address the need for certified phlebotomy technicians in the community.

The 120-hour program, open to anyone 16 and older, includes 10 weeks of in-person instruction and lab work, followed by a clinical externship. Upon completion, students will be qualified to become registered phlebotomy technicians, with the career path leading to NC State’s nursing program.

In addition to the phlebotomy course, the Crawford Success Center offers other workforce development programs, including a Temkin manufacturing lab and leadership training.
