MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)âA house explosion on Becky Drive early Wednesday morning has left several individuals receiving treatment for burns.
The incident has drawn responses from multiple emergency services.
According to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, two occupants of the home were present at the time of the explosion and were subsequently taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Three firefighters who responded to the scene were also injured and transported for care. One of the injured has been transferred to OSU Wexner Medical Center; however, the conditions of all affected remain unknown.
The Mifflin Township Department confirmed that among the injured responders were one chief and two captains.
In total, ten fire departments arrived to manage the situation, with a Columbia Gas crew also on-site to assist.
Investigations into the cause of the explosion are currently ongoing.
