BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Community Foundation for Crawford County has announced its annual photo contest, inviting local photographers to submit images that capture the essence of the county. The contest is open now through Friday, July 25.
Twelve photographs will be selected to appear in the Foundation’s 2024 Gratitude Report and its 2026 local calendar. One grand prize winner will also be chosen.
This year’s winning photo, an aerial night view of Bucyrus, was submitted by Douglas Weinandy.
For those curious about past selections, previous calendars can be viewed at cfcrawford.org/annual-reports. The Foundation also noted that some 2025 calendars are still available at their office for anyone interested.
To be eligible for the contest, photos must depict people, places, or things within Crawford County and must be taken by a Crawford County resident. Each submission must also include a factoid related to the picture. Previously submitted photos that have not yet been used in a calendar will also be considered.
To enter, photographers should email their photo(s), along with the accompanying factoid and their name, to lisa@cfcrawford.org. The winning photographer will receive a gift certificate to a local restaurant.
The Foundation encourages residents to start “snapping pics of people, places and things that show why Crawford County is truly where you belong.”
