GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)– On June 9, 2025, at approximately 1:48 PM, Crawford County Deputies initiated a traffic stop at the Duke and Duchess gas station after confirming that the registered owner of the vehicle, Katrina Thomas, had an active arrest warrant out of Richland County.
Thomas, the driver of the vehicle, was detained based on the warrant.
During the stop, K-9 Nora was deployed to conduct a free-air sniff of Thomas’ vehicle, and she alerted deputies to the presence of a narcotic odor.
Subsequently, a search of the vehicle uncovered several items, including drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine, and prescription pills.
As a result, Thomas was arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center.
A report regarding the incident will be submitted to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for further consideration of all charges.
