BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford Partnership is proud to announce the launch of its newly reimagined CU Lead program, now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 cohort. Designed to cultivate strong, reflective leaders across sectors, the program has been enhanced with a new school-year schedule, a refined leadership curriculum, and immersive, community-rooted experiences.
Now entering its next chapter, CU Lead continues its mission to develop leaders equipped to make meaningful impacts in both their workplaces and their communities. This year’s changes reflect an intentional shift toward deeper engagement, personal growth, and long-term leadership development.
Key updates to the CU Lead program include:
– A new school-year format (September–May), aligning better with participants’ professional and personal schedules
– An overnight retreat at Mohican Lodge to kick off the year, setting the tone for personal reflection and team building
– Monthly full-day sessions focused on community leadership themes, including education, government, health, agriculture, business, and civic service
– A renewed focus on equine-assisted leadership, road rally adventures, and a capstone graduation project
“Each session is intentionally designed to foster authentic leadership, personal insight, and stronger community connections,” said Ashlea Shaw, CU Lead Program Facilitator. “We’re excited to deepen the experience while honoring what’s always made CU Lead impactful—its focus on people, place, and purpose.”
Applications open June 13 and are due July 14, 2025. The selected cohort will be announced by August 1. Participants, typically sponsored by their employer, are responsible for tuition, which includes all meals, materials, and retreat accommodations
