CRESTLINE, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crestline Fire Department experienced a hectic day on Tuesday, responding to a total of 10 calls for service since 10 a.m., including four overlapping incidents.
The department expressed gratitude to the off-duty personnel and mutual aid partners who stepped in to help manage the high volume of calls.
At approximately 3 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a residential structure fire. Fortunately, the homeowner’s son was present and was able to evacuate safely along with two dogs before calling 911. Unfortunately, the residence was declared a total loss. The Fire Marshal has been contacted to investigate the cause of the fire.
Mutual aid was provided by the Springfield Township Fire Department and the Jefferson Township Fire Department.
