MORRAL (Crawford County Now) — Bucyrus boys placed second and the girls took fourth in the Dave Schorr Invitational at Ridgedale Saturday afternoon.

Karter Boggs took firsts in the 1600 meters in 4:33.74, followed by a 10:06.14 clocking in the 3200 meters.

Boggs ran the anchor leg of the 4X400 relay with Charlie Miley, Ander Griffin and Carter Bierce as the quartet finished third.

Fredericktown won both the boys and girls team titles in the 10-school field.

Other Redmen placers include:

  • Maseo Hall was first in the boys 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.32. He took second in the 300-meter hurdle in 45.46.
  • Kimmy Burling took second places in the girls 200 meters in 28.98 and the 100 meters in 13.69.
  • Burling, along with Carey Campbell, Peyton Fackler, and Ella Green, secured second in the 4X100 meters.
  • Ivan Pirnstill finished second in the pole vault with a 13-foot effort. He was fourth in the long jump at 18 feet, 3.5 inches.
  • Hall, DaShawn Cosey, Grady Weber, and Christian Neal ran third in the 4X100 meters in 46.53.
  • Fackler was fourth in the long jump at 13-feet, 5 inches.
  • Savannah Clark placed fourth in the girls shot put with a 28-foot, .5 inch throw.
  • Hayden Ginn also was fourth in the boys discus with a throw of 113-feet, 7 inches.

Wynford, Mohawk compete at Shelby Invitational

SHELBY — Wynford and Mohawk took part in the Shelby Invitational Saturday.

WYNFORD PLACERS

  • Lady Royals senior Adison Stuckey took first in the girls 400 meters, running 1:00.33. Megan Young took third in the event in 1:04.15.
  • Stuckey placed third in the 200 meters in 25.60.
  • Anthony Evans took the boys 400 meters in 51.76. He added a fourth-place finish in the 100 meters in 11.60.
  • Briana Westrick garnered second in the girls 800 meters in 2:39.71.
  • Logan Wright took third in the boys shot put with a throw of 44 feet, 3.5 inches.

The girls placed third and the boys fifth.

MOHAWK PLACERS

  • Brayden Cleveland took top honors in the boys 3200 meters in 10:09.96.
  • Phoenix Nally took first in the boys 1600 meters with a time of 4:51.52.
  • Myer Kirian finished second in that event in 4:56.39. He also took third in the 3200 meters in 10:59.12.
