The driver of a minivan that collided with a semi-truck, and her passenger, were injured Monday afternoon.
The collision occurred when the minivan driven by 65-year-old Christine Richard of Columbus was southbound on Sandusky Street in Chatfield and went left of center and struck a semi driven by 38-year-old Matthew Heuhart of Mansfield.
Heuhart was not injured, but Richard and her passenger which is her mother – 88-year-old Betty Smith – were both transported to Bucyrus Community Hospital. Smith was treated and released at Bucyrus. Richard was taken to the Ohio State University Medical Center where she was treated and released.
That crash remains under investigation by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. Also responding to the accident scene were Life Support Ambulance Service and Chatfield Township Volunteer Fire Department.
