BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A new business in downtown Bucyrus wants its clients to discover their “new you.”

New You Aesthetics and Wellness LLC, 300 N. Sandusky Avenue, provides a variety of aesthetic and wellness services all designed to help men and women look and feel their very best.

“With aesthetics, it’s really just about improving the body image on the outside,” said owner Paula Severns, CNP.  “Enhancing confidence is what I love most about the aesthetics part of the job.”

New You Aesthetics and Wellness, which opened last October, is located inside the Kennedy Layne Salon.  “I liked the atmosphere of the salon, and I feel wellness and self-care go together.  I thought it was a good niche to bring into a busy salon.”

The clinic offers a medically supervised weight loss program that combines lifestyle modifications of nutrition, physical activity, and prescription options to help clients keep off the pounds forever, Severns said.

Aesthetics services include Botox, popular cosmetic injections that reduce wrinkles on the face, a similar treatment called Xeomin, which is also used to improve the look of crow’s feet and frown lines, and lip filler enhancements.

Severns, a longtime Bucyrus resident, has worked in family practice and acute care for more than 30 years.  She earned a Master of Nursing degree from Otterbein University and is specialty trained by the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics.

“Honestly, my passion is not only teaching but also helping men and women become the best version of themselves,” she said, “so that’s where the wellness portion of the business comes into play.”

The treatment suite inside the salon plans to expand in April, Severns said, to provide other cosmetic treatments frequently requested by customers including dermal fillers and Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy or BHRT.

“Everything I offer I’ve had done myself.  That’s the biggest thing,” she said.  “I’m also looking to offer Botox parties in the home if anyone wants to have a group of five friends together, I’ll come to their house.”
