One of their most ambitious projects to date was to assume the responsibility of the Downtown Banner project in Bucyrus started by the Norton Bicentennial Committee.  It was a rough start with a few minor errors in communications with those people who had banners hanging previously.  A new banner application was needed to make the transition more affordable and easier to understand. A cap price was placed on the banner form and a three-year timeframe for payment.

Monies that are raised from this project along with other fundraisers throughout the year make our community better.  Scouting, Little League, the Police Explorers, the Crawford County Fair, and Spooktacular are some of the yearly groups that receive donations.

Children and Youth, Veterans, and older residents in our area benefit when the Sons of The American Legion are involved. The Sons take pride in being a part of the Bucyrus community and encourage you to take pride also.
