GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Emergency services were dispatched to a partial building collapse on Walnut Street Tuesday evening at the former Peace Lutheran Church. The property was recently donated to the Galion Port Authority. The incident was reported to Galion Police at approximately 6:24 PM.
Upon arrival, authorities assessed the situation and determined that immediate action was required to ensure safety. Officers contacted Columbia Gas to shut off the gas supply to the affected structure, which was completed shortly after 8:05 p.m. Additionally, the water supply to the building was also addressed to prevent further complications.

Emergency responders, including representatives from Columbia Gas and the local water department, arrived on the scene to assist with the situation. Responders secured the area and ensured that all necessary precautions were taken.
There are no reports of injuries associated with the incident, but the circumstances surrounding the collapse are still under investigation. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates as they become available. Residents in the area are advised to remain cautious and stay clear of the affected location.
