BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Board of Elections is now accepting petitions for candidacy declarations for the upcoming May 2025 primary ballot. This election cycle will feature several key positions, including city council seats for both wards and at-large positions in Bucyrus, Bucyrus City Council President, as well as the offices of Treasurer and Law Director.
In Crestline, four council seats will be up for election.
Prospective candidates can obtain petitions at the Crawford County Board of Elections office located at 112 E. Mansfield St., Suite A in Bucyrus. To qualify, a petition for a ward seat must include at least 25 signatures from registered voters, while a petition for an at-large council seat requires 50 signatures.
All candidate petitions must be submitted by 4 p.m. on February 5, 2025. For further information or assistance, interested candidates can contact the Board of Elections at 419-562-8721, available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
