The Crawford Theatre Company will present the comedy, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), at 8 p.m. on September 18, 19, 24, 25. Performances will be held in the Bucyrus Elks, 309 E Mansfield Street.
The play, written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1987, went on to nine record-breaking years on London’s West End, and has been the world’s most performed stage parody for the last 20 years.
The Complete Works is a hilarious, fast-paced romp through the Bard’s extensive playbook. Three (that’s right, only three) madcap men in tights weave their wacky way through all of Shakespeare’s Comedies, Histories, and Tragedies in one wild evening that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter.
The show features three local actors: Matt Feck, Scott Smith, and Levi Vermillion. It will be directed by Betsy Gerhart.
Tickets are $10. Reservations can be made by calling 419-562-0404 or at the box office located at MB Subculture, 127 S Sandusky Ave. For more information, visit www.crawfordtheatrecompany.com.
