Even though Crestline officials are concerned about village finances including a deficit in its General Fund, Village Council voted earlier this week to proceed with the Roundhouse Park Softball project.

The park is projected to cost $68,000 and will be built near County Road 35. A Natureworks grant will cover up to $47,000 of the cost, but that grant expires in December of this year meaning the project must move ahead now.

The local match of up to $21,000will come from the village’s Capital Improvement Fund.
