Fans of the Crawford Park District will have plenty of excuses to visit the local parks this coming week.

Exploring Drones – Thursday, September 17 6:30pm
Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 State Route 598
The Crawford Park District welcomes local drone enthusiast James Hall as
he provides his knowledge on aerial photography in Crawford County. A
new way to explore the natural landscape, drones offer a bird’s eye view
of your community. Program will start inside with an overview of drones
and their usage within society. It will conclude outside with a
demonstration and fly-over of Lowe-Volk Park and the surrounding area.
Lowe-Volk Park is located 3 miles north of US Route 30.


Spiders, Moths, & More!
– Friday, September 18 7:30pm

Autumn is a great time to observe nature at night with the Crawford Park
District. Through the use of flashlights, black lights, and white
sheets, we’ll search for and observe the many nocturnal arthropods of
Lowe-Volk. Fun for the whole family! Bring a flashlight. Lowe-Volk
Park is located 3 miles north of US Route 30.

BB Gun Shoot – Sunday, September 20 2pm

Got a BB Gun? Want some people to shoot with? Well, bring your BB Gun
to the Crawford Park District’s Lowe-Volk Park for a fun afternoon of
some plinking around. There will be regular targets as well as a “Woods
Walk”. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Lowe-Volk Park is located
3 miles north of US Route 30.

Fall Wildflowers – Sunday, September 20 3pm
Unger Park, 1303 Bucyrus-Nevada Rd.
Crawford Park District Warren Uxley 1Meet Crawford Park District Naturalist, Warren Uxley at the Unger Park
Prairie for a fall hike. The tall-grass prairies of Ohio are renowned
for their late summer displays of wildflowers. Several different
species of goldenrods and asters as well as the bottled gentian put on
quite a show. Unger Park is located just west of Bucyrus on
Bucyrus-Nevada Road.
