A 35-year-old Galion man was given a hefty bond during his appearance in Crawford County Municipal Court Friday following his arrest on Thursday.
Marcus Williams was given a $2 million bond by Municipal Court Judge Shane Leuthold Friday. Judge Leuthold appointed attorney Derek Daily as Williams’ legal counsel. Williams will have an initial hearing in Common Pleas Court at 11 a.m. on September 11.
Williams is facing felony charges for possession of criminal tools, importuning and disseminating materials harmful to juveniles.
According to a report in the Galion Inquirer, Williams was arrested by members of an FBI task force and Bureau of Criminal Investigation agents as a result of an ongoing investigation into online child solicitation. Williams was arrested at a residence on East Church Street.
