Two separate disturbance calls led Bucyrus police to two arrests Wednesday during the early morning hours.
Officers responded to the 800 block of Cleland Avenue just after 3 a.m. Wednesday. Eighteen-year-old Wesley Steele was arrested for suspicion of rape, disorderly conduct, and criminal damaging. He was being held at the Crawford County Justice Center pending an investigation.

Just two hours earlier police were led on a merry chase by 34-year-old Joseph Grasley after officers arrived at the area of East Southern Avenue and Prospect Street concerning a disturbance involving four males. Grasley fled from police on a motorcycle, traveling north on Prospect Street before jumping over to Warren Street and on to Whetstone Street. Grasley made it to Warren Avenue before crashing his bike on the golf course maintenance lane. He was finally caught after a foot chase on the golf course.
Grasley was arrested on a warrant out of Crawford County and for fleeing and eluding, failure to comply, driving under suspension, and possession of drug abuse instruments. Additional charges are pending.
Grasley is currently being held at the Crawford County Justice Center for a court appearance.

Twenty-two-year-old Kristen Nickelson was arrested Tuesday morning after police received a report of possible child abuse. The investigation led officers to arrest Nickelson on a Crawford County warrant and for child endangerment. She is being held at the county jail. Child Services assisted in the investigation.
