WILLARD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Willard High School is excited to announce the 7th annual Honor Run 5K run/walk, set for Saturday, October 26. The race will kick off at 9:00 am at Willard High School, with participants having the unique opportunity to dedicate their run/walk to a local veteran.
Registration is now open, and those who sign up by October 14 will receive a special race shirt. Awards will be given to the top three overall finishers and in each age category. Every participant will also receive a custom-designed race medal. Local veterans will present the awards following the race.
Proceeds from the Honor Run will support various student-organized events honoring veterans, including Seats for Honor Flight/Huron County Honor Bus, Military Appreciation Nights, Veterans Day Programs, MIA/POW Honor Seats, and a future Willard, Ohio Veterans Memorial.

The event is sponsored by WHS Teen Leadership Corp, FFA, and Student Council members and their advisors. Willard High School is proud to be a Purple Star School, recognized by the Ohio Department of Education for its support of military families and veterans in the community.
