A 68-year-old man who recently moved to Galion and is suffering from Alzheimer’s has not been located according to Galion police. A dispatcher on duty early this morning indicated police have no further information on the whereabouts of Fred Saunders Sr.
Saunders walked away from his residence on South Union Street at approximately 9:30 Monday evening. Saunders was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown, green, or camo-colored T-shirt. The shirt may possibly feature Duck Dynasty.
He is 5-feet-9-inches tall, weighs approximately 160-190 pounds, has gray hair and should be wearing glasses.
Galion police with assistance from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office conducted an extensive search on Tuesday including use of an airplane to fly over the city.
Police are asking anyone who spots Saunders to contact them immediately at 419-468-9111.
