GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—After 177 years of mission and ministry, Peace Lutheran Church has concluded its presence in the Galion community. The historic building, in use by the congregation since 1874, will now serve a new purpose.
The Church Council expressed a desire for the building to remain a valuable asset to the community, even after the church’s closure. To achieve this, the Council recently requested the Galion Port Authority to assume ownership of the building.
With the Port Authority’s approval, the Council was pleased to gift the church building and property to them. This transfer ensures that the historic structure will continue to contribute to the community’s economic development plans.
Peace Lutheran Church’s legacy will live on through this transition, marking a new chapter for the historic building and the Galion community.
