MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Mansfield Division of Police has announced road closures and traffic delays for the upcoming Mansfield Pride Parade and Festival and the Soap Box Derby on June 22, 2024.

Starting at 5:00 p.m. on June 21, several streets will be closed for thTe Mansfield Pride Festival setup. These include Park Avenue West and East between Walnut Street and Diamond Street, North and South Main Street between 3rd Street and South Park Street, and N. Park Street between N. Diamond Street and N. Main Street.

On June 22, at 4:00 a.m., N. Main Street between 3rd Street and 6th Street will be closed for the Soap Box Derby setup. This closure will last until approximately 6:00 p.m. The same closure applies to 4th Street between N. Walnut Street and N. Diamond Street. All municipal parking lots will be accessible from either North Diamond Street or North Walnut Street. Detour signs will be posted to redirect traffic around the event.

Also, on June 22, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Marion Avenue between Park Avenue West and Carpenter Road will be closed for the Pride Parade lineup. There will be no through traffic on Wood Street from W. 1st Street or S. Benton Street from Park Avenue West. Blymyer Avenue will be closed and only accessible to EMS or Memorial Home Employees.

The parade kicks off at 11:00 a.m. and will head east on Park Avenue West to Walnut Street, where it will turn south on S. Walnut Street to disperse between Park Avenue West and W. 2nd Street. All roadways intersecting Park Ave West between South Benton Street and South Diamond Street will be impacted by the parade. Perimeter barricades and detour routes will be posted on W. 2nd Street and W. 3rd Street. These closures will last until approximately 12 noon.
