RICHLAND COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Mansfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred on June 19, 2024, around 5:04 AM, on SR 13 near mile post 7.

Tarin Hoffman, age 36, of Mansfield, was driving a 2004 Dodge Dakota north on SR 13. Accompanying her were two passengers, Nathan Phillips, age 48, and Shannon Spicer, age 40, both from Mansfield. Hoffman veered left of center, striking Kalli Coe, age 34, of Ashland, who was driving a 2015 Subaru Outback south on SR 13.

The collision caused Hoffman’s vehicle to overturn and come to rest on the west edge of the roadway. Phillips was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Hoffman and Spicer were transported to Ohio Health Mansfield with serious injuries. Coe was treated and released at the scene.

According to the report, Hoffman and Spicer were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. However, Coe and Phillips were wearing seatbelts.

The Mansfield Post received assistance from the Bellville Police Department, Washington and Jefferson Township Fire, Richland County Coroner’s Office, Mikes Marathon Towing, and the Ohio Department of Transportation in managing the aftermath of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
