Crawford Conversation returns next week with a focus on strategies for the evolving workforce.
This edition of Crawford Conversation, sponsored by Spherion of MidOhio and Crawford: 20/20 Vision, will be presented by Sandy Mazur, a top executive at Spherion. Mazur will give an exclusive briefing on 2015’s Emerging Workforce Study, which consists of over 18 years of data from nearly a quarter of a million workers and hundreds of companies. The study is an in-depth look at what is happening in the U.S. workforce, its impact on employers, and includes strategies to attract top talent, engage and retain current employees, plan for future talent needs, and create brand advocates. Mazur will also discuss newfound views regarding employer loyalty and job security.
Mazur is a division president of franchise and license operations at Spherion Staffing Services. She is a seasoned executive with broad-based experience in the staffing industry and has a keen understanding of the issues that drive performance in the workforce. Mazur was named by The Staffing Industry Analysts, the leading global advisor on the contingent labor industry, to the influential “Staffing 100” list for 2012 and, in 2014, she was selected by Franchise Update Magazine for inclusion in its ranking of “Women at the Top.”
“This presentation will be valuable to the work ahead of us at CCEEDP & Crawford: 20/20 Vision; workforce trends and challenges affect all of the areas we focus on—Business Success & Job Availability, Education and Workforce Preparation, Quality of Life, Public Safety & Drug Abuse, and Leadership Development,” said Michelle Failor, Communications Coordinator for CCEEDP and Crawford: 20/20 Vision. “In the coming months, we will be taking steps to address local workforce challenges through the Crawford Works initiative. The data that Spherion has compiled will definitely assist in those efforts. We thank Spherion for partnering with us to bring the Crawford County business community up to speed on this important and relevant topic.”
Crawford Conversation: Emerging Workforce will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 15 in the little theater at Bucyrus High School. Registration is required and lunch will be included in the $25 fee.
