NEW LONDON — Bucyrus boys track and field team captured top honors here Saturday, winning the Bob Knoll Invitational.
The Redmen’s 159 points outdistanced Plymouth (104) and Norwalk St. Paul (84.5). South Central girls won their side of the meet with 191 to New London’s 148. The Lady Red squad placed seventh.
Sophomore Karter Boggs went for the trifecta, winning the 800-, 1600- and 3200-meter runs. His time in the 800 was 2:03.99, in the 1600 event 4:36.12 and in the 3200 he had a clocking of 10:25.32.
Other Bucyrus placers included:
· Maseo Hall took first in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.69.
· Eli Sprague won the 400-meter dash (51.84), took second in the 100-meter dash (11.84) and second in the 200-meter dash in 23.41 seconds.
· Dylan Coppler placed second in the 300-meter hurdles (46.23).
· Devin Deskins took second in the 1600 (4:59.06) and fourth in the 800 meters.
· The boys 4X800 meter relay team of Anderson Griffin, Charlie Miley, Carter Bierce, and Deskins took second place, running a time of 9:15.37.
· Kavan Combs took second in the boys high jump clearing 5-feet, 10-inches. Coppler was third at 5-feet, 6-inches.
· Kyle Pifer took third in the 3200 in 11:49.40.
· The boys 4X200 meter relay team of Hall, Mahrien Durham, Christian Neal and Page finished third in 1:38.75.
· Combs was fourth in the boys long jump at 19-feet, .5-inches. Dustin Feck was fifth at 17-feet, 5.25.
· Demaris Munn-Page placed fourth in the 100-meter dash (12.26).
· Grady Weber’s 8-feet effort in the boys pole vault garnered a fourth-place tie with teammate Clayten Lawson and a South Central vaulter.
· Ella Green took fourth in the girls 400-meter dash (1:06.81).
· Alexis Farnwalt was fourth in the girls 300-meter hurdles in 53.94.

Buckeye Central girls third
JEROMESVILLE — Buckeye Central’s girls team took third in the Bob Valentine Invitational at Hillsdale High School Friday night.
The Buckettes had 65 points, finishing behind Waynedale (113) and Crestview (90) in the 12-team field. The boys squad took seventh with 41.50 points.
Crestline was 11th in both divisions.
Top BC placers included:
· The girls 4X800 meter relay of Sophia Martin, Angela Figueroa, Sarah Martin, and Nevaeh Metzger took first in 10:45.47.
· The boys 4X400 meter relay team of Corbin Bloomfield, Gabe Bellamy, Donnie Fourtner, and Braden Siefert hit the timer at 3:36.30 to edge Waynedale’s ‘A’ team by .40 seconds.
· Figueroa ran for second place in the girls 3200 meters in 13:50.
· Bloomfield took second in the 400 meters (53.50), second in the boys long jump at 21-feet, 1.75-inches and third in the 200 meters (23.40).
· Metzger took third in the girls long jump at 15-feet.
· The girls 4X200 meter relay of Martin, Jamie Fields, Paityn Hafner, and Martin took third in 1:58.46.
· The boys 4X200 meter relay took fourth in 1:39.00. The quartet was comprised of Jack Phillips, Cade Daniel, Bellamy, and Alec Phillips.
