The 15th Crawford County Antique Farm Machinery Show is like the memorabilia it shows off – a part of history.
But this year’s show which featured Cockshutt and Leader tractors was about more than tractors and old farm equipment as Mark Scheffler, a trustee for the Crawford Antique Farm Machinery Association explains.
“Garden Tractor Pull going on in front of the Grandstand right now. We’ve got Kiddie Tractor Pull in the Whetstone Building. We’ve got some animals down there for the kids to see. We have a lot of tractors this year, tractors from six or seven different states,” Scheffler said. “We have a bailer, and antique bailer here they did a demonstration earlier today, showed how it worked, bailed some straw.”
This year’s three-day event also included a truck pull, tractor parade, car show and flea market. There were several demonstrations of life on the farm, plenty of food and a raffle for a Cockshutt tractor.
