BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)— The long-awaited reopening of the local pool in Bucyrus, Ohio, is finally here, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Jennifer Allonas and the supportive community. This display of community spirit has ensured that residents can once again enjoy the refreshing waters of the pool.
Allonas’ hard work, coupled with generous donations from citizens including Mayor Truka and SSD Tommy Starner, has been instrumental in the pool’s reopening. With the pool now open, there are many other details to be attended to, including hiring a pool manager, staff, and concession workers.
Since fundraising efforts began, donations totaling $21,235.00 have poured in, convincing the city to open the pool.
In addition to her efforts in reopening the pool, Allonas is collaborating with other volunteers to create a non-profit organization. This organization is dedicated to securing the future operation of the pool, ensuring that the Bucyrus community can continue to enjoy this local amenity for years to come.
Crawford County Now will continue to cover this “splashing” project, providing updates on the pool’s operations and the non-profit organization’s progress.
For more information on the pool’s reopening and how to support the non-profit organization, residents are encouraged to stay tuned to Crawford County Now.
