The temperatures may still be a bit cool yet but area swimming pools are prepping for the hot summer months.

The summer swimming season is delayed for a few weeks at Aumiller as the city repairs its broken pool pump. Aumiller Pool, once opened to the public, will operate from 1 – 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 1 – 6 p.m. on Sundays. Those hours may be reduced by one hour if parties are scheduled.

Admission into the Aumiller Pool is $1.50 for children ages five and under, $3 for students, $3.50 for adults ages 18 – 64, and $3 for seniors ages 65 and older. The prices for pool passes are $60 for a student or a senior, $75 for an adult, and $150 for a family of four. Additional passes for family larger than four can be purchased for $25.

Heise Park poolThe Heise Park Pool in Galion will be open from June 8 to Aug. 15. It will once again be run by the Galion Community Center YMCA.

The hours of operation are from 1 – 7:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 1 – 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Daily admission to the pool is $1 for children under six, $3 for youths ages 6 – 18, $4 for adults ages 18 – 54, and $3 for seniors. Adults that are accompanying a child but are not swimming are charged $1.

Season passes for Galion residents are $45 for children under the age of five, $50 for students ages 6 – 17, $70 for adults and seniors, and $110 for a family pass (two adults and three children). The costs for out-of-town residents are $85 for children under the age of five, $100 for students ages 6 – 17, $140 for adults and seniors, and $175 for a family pass.

The Crestline swimming pool will be open from June 1 to Aug. 16. The hours of operation are noon to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 1 – 5 p.m. on Sundays. Those hours may be adjusted throughout the season due to swim team home meets.

Daily admission to the pool is $3 per person with children under the age of three enter for free. Season passes can be purchased at Crestline Village Hall. Applications must be filled out with the payment due in full at the time of registration. Checks should be made payable to the Village of Crestline Municipal Pool. Season passes are $50 for youth under the age of 18, $55 for adults ages 18 and older. A family pass is $105.

Swimming lessons are available and are offered in a two-week session, 45-minute session. Classes will be held Mondays through Thursdays from June 15 – 25. Classes are offered for preschool lessons, intermediate classes, and advanced classes. Fees for the classes are $15 for season pass holders and $25 for non-season pass holders.

The pool is also available for rent during the week and on the weekends.
