BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus boys’ and girls’ bowling teams swept Wynford in a Northern Ohio Bowling League match at Suburban Lanes.
The Lady Red edged the Royals, 1684-1645, largely on the strength of Rylee Powers’ monster 433 two-game series. Powers rolled a 242 in the first game and followed that up with a 191.
Addison Sebring led Wynford with a 271 series.
The Redmen eased past the Royals, 2370-2064, in the boys’ match.
Brody Higginbotham led the way for Bucyrus with a 406 series. Gabe Wilson had the single-game high with a 227 and Cody Pennington rolled a 389 series with a 211 in the second game.
Brier Ridge topped Wynford with a 356 including a team-best single game of 208.
In the junior varsity match, Wynford boys edged Bucyrus, 1792-1788.
Bucyrus returns to action on November 29 at Colonel Crawford. Wynford travels to Kenton on November 30.
