MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Mansfield police are urging the community to provide tips following a shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of two teenagers and the injury of four others.

The incident occurred on Friday night in the 800 block of Ferndale Road, prompting multiple 911 calls.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing people running in panic. The police discovered that the residence was hosting a Halloween party attended by around 50 teenagers, where drugs were also found.

The victims, aged between 14 and 19, were shot both inside and outside the house. Due to the nature of the party, witnesses were unable to provide a clear description of the suspect or suspects, but neighbors provided security footage to aid the investigation. Lt. Robert Skropits emphasized the importance of community cooperation in solving the case, as this is the 11th homicide in the city this year and involves young victims. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police.
