BLOOMVILLE—Bloomville, is abuzz with excitement as the Bloomville Kids Committee prepares to host the 3rd Annual Bloomville Block Party & Car Show on Saturday, August 5, at the scenic Bloomville Veterans Memorial & Beeghly Park, located at 10 Beeghly Avenue.
Promising to be the most grandiose celebration the community has seen thus far, the event boasts an array of new activities and attractions that are sure to delight attendees of all ages.
The festivities will kick off with a vibrant lineup of vendors from 10 am to 3 pm, offering a diverse array of local treats and crafts. The highlight of the day, the dazzling parade, will commence at 11 am, followed by an uplifting opening ceremony.
Food enthusiasts can indulge in a delectable feast, accompanied by refreshing beverages, starting at 11:30 am. For the young ones, there will be exciting kids booths and captivating face painting beginning at noon. Meanwhile, car enthusiasts will have their hearts racing at the thrilling car show from 1 pm to 3 pm.
The fun doesn’t stop there! From 1 pm to 7 pm, the event will transform into an aquatic wonderland, with free swimming, delightful kids inflatables, and a foam party that guarantees a day full of laughter and splashes.
Sports enthusiasts can look forward to whiffle ball games at 3 pm and a cornhole competition at 5 pm, providing plenty of opportunities for friendly competition.
As the sun begins to set, the atmosphere will be charged with electrifying energy, thanks to live music performances from 5 pm to 11 pm, featuring acclaimed bands like ‘One Foot in the Grave’ and ‘Wally and the Beavs.’ And for those feeling lucky, the final reverse raffle drawing at 10:30 pm promises some thrilling surprises.
The Bloomville Block Party & Car Show started a few years ago as a means to strengthen the bonds within the Bloomville community. Over time, it has evolved into a beloved tradition that showcases the town’s local talent, fosters camaraderie, and celebrates the community’s remarkable progress and growth over the years.
Mayor David Auble Jr. of Bloomville expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The Bloomville Block Party is a great event for our village and an awesome way for the community to come together. This year, I’ll even be taking a pie in the face to help raise money!”
The event will feature appearances by local celebrities, including the infamous “Big Nut” and Netflix star Jacob Hacker, adding a touch of stardom to the festivities. Additionally, the parade will honor local hero Joe Gottfried as the grand marshal, celebrating his outstanding contributions to the community.
