BUCYRUS—VFW Post 1078 is excited to announce its upcoming flag distribution event in honor of Flag Day. In an effort to promote patriotism and ensure the proper disposal of worn-out flags, the VFW Post will be giving away 3×5 American flags to residents of Crawford County.
Located at 330 East Mansfield Street in Bucyrus, VFW Post 1078 will kick off the flag distribution drive-thru event on Flag Day, which falls on June 14th. The event will continue on the following Wednesdays, June 21st and June 28th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. or until all flags are claimed.
Residents of Crawford County are invited to bring their worn or tattered flags to the VFW Post during the drive-thru event. VFW members will ensure that the flags are disposed of in a respectful manner, adhering to the proper flag disposal protocols. In exchange, participants will receive a new 3×5 American flag.
For disabled individuals unable to visit VFW Post 1078, special arrangements have been made for flag delivery. Those requiring assistance can contact Lori Starner at 419-689-1003, and arrangements will be made to have a flag delivered to their location.
In addition to the flag distribution drive-thru, VFW Post 1078 is currently accepting new membership applications. Individuals interested in joining the VFW community are encouraged to inquire and apply at the post.
