Mark LaRue, 63, of Iberia passed Friday, April 21, 2023 at his residence.
Born November 24, 1959 in Galion, he was the son of Riley “Smokey” and Luella (Sulser) LaRue. He married Rhonda L. (Conant) Ghent-LaRue on June 23, 2001and they enjoyed 21 years together.
Mark previously attended Southview Baptist in Galion, and worked as a machinist at Tri R Tooling in Mansfield. He enjoyed playing cards, cooking and grilling; especially family dinners on Tuesday. Mark loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle he built. He enjoyed being in his garage and never turned anybody in need away, he also enjoyed woodworking and built their own home. Mark and Shawn spent a lot of time together in the garage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by step-children Shawn Ghent and Trena (Terry) Taylor, all of Galion; step grandchildren Cassie Stover, Vince Bail, Andrea Kelly, Miranda Kelly, Brittnay Taylor and Terrahl Taylor; step great grandchildren Corbyn Stover, Addisynn Brown, Elisaac Stover and Ryder Greer; sisters Nancy (Ronald) Schiefer of Iberia and Marilyn Wert of Lexington; brother Darin (Tayna) LaRue of rural Galion and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Steven LaRue.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2023 with Chaplain Doug Olsen officiating. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery.
