BOWLING GREEN—Ohio Business Week is thrilled to announce its 2023 summer business program. The week-long program aims to educate, empower, and encourage high school students from diverse backgrounds to recognize and achieve their potential.
The program, which will be held at Bowling Green State University from June 18-23, 2023, provides a hands-on, experiential learning environment for up to 200 high school students. Participants compete in a dynamic simulation as industry professionals, where they sharpen their communication skills and face real-world challenges.
Under the guidance of business leaders, educators, high school students, and community volunteers, participants gain a competitive edge in college preparation, workplace readiness, and overall life success. The program focuses on skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Students undertake hands-on projects providing them with the opportunity to operate a business, create a new product or service, complete with a business plan, financials, marketing materials, a website, and a commercial. The week concludes with a public tradeshow and presentation judging.
Ohio Business Week is the premier summer experience for current high school students to ignite their potential. Students can apply online at OhioBusinessWeek.org.
“We are excited to offer this program to high school students who are eager to learn and grow in a hands-on, experiential environment,” said Ohio Business Week President, John Doe. “This is a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable skills and knowledge, make connections with business leaders, and prepare for their future success.”
