GALION–A gift shop in the heart of Galion is offering personalized clothing, jewelry, and other one-of-a-kind gifts and seasonal décor.
This, That & the Other, 107 Harding Way East, also sells T-shirts, sweatshirts, and other Galion Tiger spirit wear, as well as team apparel for any other area school district and their fans, according to owner Brandy Bowser.
“Business is going well,” said Bowser, who opened This, That & the Other in November 2019 but was forced to shut down the following year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Business is good. It’s been steady.”
In addition to tees, the shop’s spirit wear line includes hoodies, sweatpants, hats, and other accessories. Custom T-shirts can also be ordered. She said, as well as a variety of embroidery designs on favorite brands such as Gildan and Bella & Canvas.
Bowser said the shop recently launched a new fund-raising platform for school teams and travel teams through her Facebook page. A certain amount per item sold or a percentage of total merchandise sales is donated back to the team or school, she said.
The fund-raising website provides a personalized link that can be used to easily set up “shops” for individual teams or schools, Bowser said, without the hassle of paper order forms. Orders can either be shipped out or picked up in person, she said.
Bowser, who lives in Galion, sold custom clothing out of her home for about a year before opening the 1,000-square-foot store. “Then I heard about the storefront becoming available and just went for it. I definitely wasn’t looking. It just fell in my lap.”
She has one part-time employee who fills in, especially during Christmas and the busy football season. This, That & the Other is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday from 12 to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 10 to 2.
