GALION–Taylor Price has been behind the camera for years, but now she’s taking photography to a whole new level.
Price, 21, is the photographer and owner of TPrice Photos, the business she launched just over two years ago. She loves capturing moments of love and happiness. And, for many of her clients, memories they can cherish for years to come.
For her, it just clicks.
“I just love being able to meet and connect with so many people,” said Price. “I get to be so creative with my work. If I have a fun idea, usually I can find a client who might be interested in doing that with me and to see it executed is pretty cool.”
Price, the daughter of John and Jennifer Price of Crestline, always loved taking pictures. She played around with her mother’s camera as a youngster and was often told by her uncle, a professional photographer in Cincinnati, that “she had such an eye for it.”
After graduating from Colonel Crawford High School in 2019, she worked in banking for a year and enrolled in some college courses online. But her real passion was always photography, so in late 2020, she decided to turn her dream into a reality.
“It was just a hobby but then I started having so many people ask me to photograph different events,” she said, “and I finally thought maybe I could do this as my career and since then I’ve been extremely blessed to be able to do this full-time.”
The young entrepreneur describes her work as “natural, warm, and joyful.” She and her Canon R6 capture weddings mostly, but she also takes engagement photos, newborn and family portraits, and senior pictures in both color and black and white.
Her favorite time for shooting? Sunrise or the “golden hour” of sunset. And she prefers outdoor settings, including Lowe-Volk Park in Crestline, the Nature Preserve in Bucyrus, downtown Columbus, or even as far as East Harbor on the shores of Lake Erie.
She’s excited about plans to open her own studio, and when not working, loves going to the gym, traveling, and reading the Bible. Faith is foremost in her life. “Jesus is the fire in my veins. Without Him, nothing I’ve accomplished this far would have been possible.”
Because this photographer is “shooting” for the stars. “For me, it’s not just snapping a few photos. I put meaning and warmth behind each photo I take,” she said. “Photos that will take you back and bring a smile to your face every time you look at them.”
And that makes her smile too.
