Raymond “Eddie” Lee, 72, of Galion passed away Friday, November 11, 2022 following complications from a recent stroke.
He was born April 3, 1950 in Richlands, Virginia and was the son of Raymond C. and Ethel Z. (Baldwin) Lee. Eddie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon (Helton) Lee whom he married on November 24, 1973.
He graduated from Galion High School in 1968. Eddie worked over 30 years for the former Conrail, now CSX and for several years for Graham Auto Mall in Mansfield. Eddie was a member of Southview Baptist Church in Galion and the Masonic Lodge #350 of Shelby. He was an avid Ohio State Football, Cleveland Guardians and Cleveland Browns fan. Eddie took pride in mowing and keeping his yard. He especially adored his grandchildren and loved attending their sporting events and spoiling them.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Regina (Doug) Jutz of Galion; three grandchildren, Emma, Caden and Chloe and a sister, Brenda Claus of Galion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Christopher Ray Lee and an infant granddaughter, Jenna Lee Jutz.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 with Rev. Paul Walter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, starting at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Gracepoint in care of the funeral home.
